BIO

Shelley Cost is a recognized oil painter of representational landscapes. Taught by her artist father, Shelley began with oil painting early in her life. She first worked in watercolor and acrylic, then returned to oil painting. Today she paints the California landscape and epic Monterey Peninsula scenes. Shelley has also been working with painting horses and wild animals, capturing their spirit with paint.

Nature and the traditional master painters continue to inspire her work. Shelley has been painting most of her life being raised in an artistic environment. From an early age she was mentored by her artist father James Peter Cost. She graduated from UCLA in Fine Art with a focus on painting.

Shelley was recently commissioned to paint Arnold Palmer on the 18th hole and Jack Nicklaus on the 17th hole of Pebble Beach. These originals hang in the Lodge at Pebble Beach. She has many corporate and private clients and has exhibited in galleries from Los Angeles to San Francisco.
