SARAH LAM
BIO
Sarah Lam grew up in an older tree-lined neighborhood surrounded by historic homes that were handcrafted and uniquely designed. Her interest in vintage architecture started with growing up in a house built in the 1940’s that had a sizable lot with a creek in the back. Sarah developed an appreciation for nature by spending hours in the backyard and on family backpacking trips. These two passions combined, an appreciation for older architecture and the outdoors, became integral to her artwork.
Sarah graduated with honors from the University of California Davis where she studied fine art under professors David Hollowell and Wayne Thiebaud. She then earned a Masters of Fine Art in painting from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Sarah regularly participates in plein air events throughout Northern California and Central Oregon and has won awards for her landscapes.
